Metadata Stripper

Remove EXIF and metadata from images before sharing. Strip GPS, camera info, and identifying data.

All processing happens locally in your browser. No data is sent to any server.

Why Strip Metadata?

Every photo you take can contain hidden data: GPS coordinates revealing where the photo was taken, camera model & serial number identifying your device, timestamps, software used, and even your name if set in camera settings. Sharing unstripped photos online can expose your home address, daily routines, and device fingerprint. Always strip metadata before posting publicly.

Accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP • Multiple files supported

⚠ Note: The Canvas API strips all metadata including EXIF, XMP, IPTC, and ICC color profiles. Stripping ICC profiles may cause very subtle color shifts on calibrated displays. For most use cases (social media, messaging, web) this is perfectly fine. Re-encoding as JPEG may also introduce minimal compression artifacts at lower quality settings.
